Daniel Rybakken
Daniel Rybakken is a Norwegian designer who studied design at the Oslo School of Architecture and the School of Arts & Crafts in Gothenburg, Sweden before beginning his own practice there in 2008. His work occupies the area between art and design. While designing, he always focuses on the beauty and power of daylight. He received numerous awards for his work, including the Bruno Mathsson Award in 2011, the London Design Medal and the Golden Chair from the Swedish Association of Architects in 2013. For HAY, Rybakken has designed Petit Standard and the Arbour in collaboration with Andreas Engesvik.
