Ronan Bouroullec

Paris-based artist Ronan Bouroullec studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris before founding a design studio with his brother Erwan. Together, the Bouroullec brothers have created numerous iconic furniture pieces, including the CPH Series, Palissade Collection, Can Sofa, Elementaire Chair, and Balcony Collection for HAY. In addition to his collaborative work, Ronan also pursues a more personal, experimental practice. He creates vibrant drawings and paintings that he describes as meditative, often entering a state of self-hypnosis through the act of making. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries across Paris, London, and beyond. Independently of his brother, Ronan designed the Palissade Cord Collection for HAY.
