Jonathan Muecke
Jonathan Muecke is an American designer and architect, born in 1983 in Wyoming, USA. He studied architecture at Iowa State University and worked for Herzog & de Meuron in Basel, Switzerland. He later studied design at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, graduating in 2010. He has received several major awards, including a USA Knight Fellowship, and his work has been shown in museums and galleries around the world. Muecke works between art, design, and architecture, using innovative techniques to create refined forms with great attention to detail and proportion. He focuses on space rather than objects, using materials and repetition to bring his surroundings to life. For HAY, he designed the Wood Box Coffee Table.
