Inga Sempé
Inga Sempé is a Paris-based French designer, celebrated for her distinctive approach that blends practicality with poetic charm. A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (ENSCI) in 1993, she later spent a formative year at the Villa Medici, Académie de France in Rome (2000–2001). Her work is marked by a refined sense of touch, a playful personality, and a deep attention to the sensory qualities of materials. With a focus on everyday usability, she often explores innovative materials that serve both function and aesthetics. In 2007, she received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. For HAY, Sempé designed the Matin Collection and the Mousqueton Portable lamp.
