Studio 0405
Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze is a Danish designer and owner of the design firm STUDIO 0405. STUDIO 0405 is a design studio that works in the intersection between space and object. He explores the historical, technical and aesthetic properties of design and how this can develop further into an object. He uses non-expected materials and production methods, exploiting their knowledge of niche manufacturers and forgotten techniques, as well as new technologies. The studio collaborates with a range of other creatives such as artists, photographers and craftsmen. For HAY, Nikolaj created the Apollo Portable Lamp.
