Scholten & Baijings
Scholten & Baijings is the Dutch design studio of Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings, based in Amsterdam. They move fluidly between the disciplines of art, design and industrial processes, to create a visually arresting collection of work which has strong references to the past, yet is overtly of the current moment. They are perfectionists by nature so their products are distinguished by a carefully considered use of pattern, colour and graphic elements. For HAY they designed a wide selection of furniture, textiles and accessories, including the 13Eighty, Paper Porcelain, Colour Carpet and Colour Sticks.
